Motor Vehicle Teen Deaths on the Rise in Virginia 2020


 

In Virginia, the number of motor vehicle related deaths of younger adults is increasing. Most would probably think that with the decrease in daily traffic amid the current lockdown there would be less traffic fatalities, that is not the case. Currently, Virginia is on course to have more teen-related fatalities then the commonwealth did last year as reported by multiple sources. As a direct result of the pandemic, traffic is down across the commonwealth. The number of vehicles on the road is less then there was last year at this same time. It is commonly known that younger drivers make more reckless decisions then older ones. Younger drivers are more likely to push the limits of their vehicle and speed while not fully understanding the consequences. Unfortunately, this can quite often result in property damage, serious injury or even death.

Tractor Trailer Truck Accident

A Distribution Center is generally a central location that Semi-Trucks go to load and unload their Tractor Trailers. The case I worked on was where a tractor trailer truck driver was hit by another tractor trailer truck.
